JBS Director

JBS Director, Jonathan Smart has collaborated on a large number of multidisciplinary BIM projects in the commercial and industrial sectors delivering fully coordinated building information models. With 20 years of experience in structural steel, concrete, timber and refurbishment projects ranging in size and complexity.

With his vast experience working alongside engineers and architects Jonathan has gained expansive knowledge in the engineering design of various forms of structures, allowing him to develop 3D models to a high level of detail and accuracy.

Jonathan brings extensive knowledge and experience combined with a passion for Building Information Modelling to the industry.

Collaborating with architects, engineers and other members of the BIM team has become more efficient and cost effective with new tools such as Tekla’s model sharing and Autodesk’s BIM360, making working from anywhere possible. Working remotely, JBS drafting has helped BIM teams in the UK, Canada and US for over 10 years.

Using the latest in BIM technology we produce structural plans, elevations, sections and details of commercial and mixed use buildings.
